To kick off the interview, let's start with your full name, your business name, your hometown, and your current place of business.

Laura Hoffman (01:24):
My name is Laura Hoffman and I live in Glen Head, New York, which is on Long Island for us Long Islanders. I have a studio space which you can see behind me that is in Glen Head as well. Laura's Intuitive Wellness is the umbrella for my business, because I have a lot of different modalities. My website is: lauraheals.com.

Jackie Morreale (01:47): In a few words, because I know you're a woman of many, many talents and multifaceted business, what do you do?

Laura Hoffman (01:54):
I'm a clairvoyant healer and intuitive wellness expert. What I do is I guide clients through transformational healing by blending a lot of different modalities, which includes my clairvoyant skills, energy work, and coaching.
I'm a Reiki master, quantum healing and natural wellness plus Kundalini yoga. I throw that in there too.

I offer two main sessions. My main session, which you know, Jackie, because we did a session on you, so you're aware, is I do really deep clearing and realignment, utilizing those intuitive insights.

Then help people really connect to their inner wisdom and step into their highest potential. That's what I do.

Jackie Morreale (02:25): Yes, you do it so well, you are so talented. I'm so happy you were able to share some of those talents with me both today and as you mentioned with the session as well as with your writing in the book.
How many years have you been doing this as a clairvoyant healer and reiki master and Kundalini yoga and all the above?

Laura Hoffman (02:58): Yeah, all the fun stuff. It's been over a decade. It's been a long time. My business, I started Laura's Intuitive Wellness in 2017.

Jackie Morreale (03:07): Very nice. What is your favorite part of your job?

Laura Hoffman (03:09): My favorite part of the job is really witnessing powerful moments when a client reconnects with their true self or if something really opens up or a weight lifts.

For me, it's incredibly fulfilling to hold the space for that type of transformation and just know that I'm helping someone heal and remember who they really are.

Jackie Morreale (03:29): Let's learn more about Laura and her favorite things. I know that you have many recipes at lauraheals.com. What is your favorite food to make?

Laura Hoffman (03:36): I don't make big meals per se, I am very simple. It just comes to some sort of protein, salmon or chicken or steak and vegetables and big salads. I'm a big salad person. I can make a big salad on the weekend and just have it all week.

Jackie Morreale (03:53): Sounds delicious. Favorite book? It could be this one that's one of my new favorites or it could be another one that you love to read.

Laura Hoffman (04:02): Immediately what comes to me is The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. If anyone has not read that yet, please go grab that book. It's a thin book, but it's completely life changing.

Jackie Morreale (04:13): Thank you. Favorite animal?

Laura Hoffman (04:15): My favorite animal is my miniature poodle, Maxime. She's my baby. She's Maxime with an M because I named her after a little French town down in the south of France.

Jackie Morreale (04:18): Aww, so cute! Maxime. She sounds very chic. I love it. Very French.
What is your favorite flower?

Laura Hoffman (04:29): Yeah, she is. My favorite flowers are roses. I love roses. I don't know you can see on the back of my wall here, I have a rose on the wall.

I use roses in clairvoyant healing because they have such a high vibration. So every week my partner, Andrew, or I'll pick up roses and I have them in my house. So, roses are for me.

Jackie Morreale (04:52): It's funny you say that, because I happen to have white roses next to me on my desk. Were given to me by my cousin this week.

I guess we're connected. I felt the vibes of the roses. There you go.

Laura Hoffman (04:59): There you go. Yeah. And we're both in pink! I love the pink.

Jackie Morreale (05:05): Me too. We're both in pink! Exactly. What is your favorite place?

Laura Hoffman (05:20): My favorite place. I've been very lucky to be able to travel all around the world for work as a wine and spirits executive for many years. However, one of my favorite places was on a personal trip and it was to Italy, to Lake Como. There's just something so magical about Lake Como, it's as though you're not even in this world.

Jackie Morreale (05:32): On my list, I would love to go. Favorite song?

Laura Hoffman (05:34): I'm an 80s girl. Whenever I hear the song, It's My Life by Talk Talk, I jump up and dance.

Jackie Morreale (05:42): It's a good one. Love the 80s.

Laura Hoffman (05:43): It's a good one!

Jackie Morreale (05:45): Favorite healing technique?

Laura Hoffman (05:47): Because I've trained on so many different modalities, my favorite healing technique is really the one that I've created myself, which is allowing the client to see and feel the release and the letting go of the blockages than me putting it on them, I pull it out of them so that this way, they can feel the healing themselves. That's a little energy healing plus psychic clairvoyant work. That's my incredible healing technique that I channel for clients.

Jackie Morreale (06:23): Absolutely, I get it and thank you for all that you do!

Laura Hoffman (06:26): Thank you, Jackie.

Jackie Morreale (06:27): Let's talk more about Laura's intuitive Healing as a business.
How did you get to this place in your career and life of being an entrepreneur and a master healer for your own practice?

Laura Hoffman (06:38): My path to becoming an entrepreneur was with resistance, I have to say, at first, and also a healer. However, it really began with my own personal transformation. It was about me. I went through a divorce, it's almost 20 years ago, I can't believe it, that really led me to seek my own profound inner transformation.
Then through meditation and yoga and energy healing and doing all these trainings, I came to understand the power of this work and the shift that it could make in my own personal life. Friends and colleagues saw that and started asking me to do work on them. Then the business just holistically became a business without me even trying to get it to be a business.

Now, I blend all those intuitive gifts with also the real-world leadership experience to help others.

Jackie Morreale (07:31): Exactly. I know you went a little bit into it with the favorite place question, that you have been an executive in the corporate world as well.

It's so interesting how you went from being this business executive, traveling the world for the food and beverage industry. Now here you are as an entrepreneur and spreading healing and wellness. It's beautiful to see.
Any learnings or certifications that helped you on your journey to following your path of wellness?

Laura Hoffman (07:57): Honestly, all of my certifications have built upon each other that have really significantly helped me in this journey with this business that I've built. For instance, my clairvoyant training helped me trust my intuition and it gave me a ton of tools, not only to work with clients, but also in the business world.

I used all those clairvoyant tools, let me tell you, in meetings, grounding and listening.

The Kundalini yoga, going through that training was a huge turning point in my life because I had to go so deep and that brought out a really deep transformation for me. When I decided to get certified as a health coach and natural wellness practitioner, that brought even another layer and then I used my intuitive skills as well in the natural wellness with clients.

The last training I went through about two years ago, I did the quantum healing. The quantum healing hypnosis opened up a completely new dimension for me. They all layered on top of each other.

And of course, the Reiki master training, which was amazing too.

Jackie Morreale (09:01): It's like asking you which one is your favorite child, right? You have all these different certifications and each one it sounds like has really brought some light to your life in different ways and built upon each other.

Going into some of what you said about the boardroom and using some of your natural gifts. When were you first aware that you had this capacity to be a healer? And to have intuition and clairvoyance?

Laura Hoffman (09:27): It was ever since I was a little girl, honestly, I just knew things were going to happen before they happened. I could see through people, which sometimes was scary, honestly, because I could see through people.

I would know things before they would happen. I would know personalities.

As people say, empaths that we take on other people's emotions and anxieties. We do. I did as a young woman.

For me, it was all about finding clarity in that of who I really was.

Jackie Morreale (09:59): Sounds like your whole life. I loved the dedication in your book. I love that you wrote that it's to the seekers and it's also to your younger self who felt disconnected, unseen and unsure of your power, and thank you for never giving up.

How beautiful is that to be able to think back?

Laura Hoffman (10:03): That makes me emotional every time I hear that because that's exactly true. I'm proud of myself as well for doing what I've done, which is really creating this whole incredible new business to help others. to that young woman who really was a little lost and how I was able to help her as well.

Jackie Morreale (10:34): How can people learn more about your healing offerings or seek help themselves?

Laura Hoffman (10:40): Yeah, so really the best way to contact me is to schedule a complimentary clarity call. I do a complimentary call with clients, and this is a place where they can connect with me one-on-one. We talk about their needs, I address any questions, we discuss how I can support them on their healing journey. It's a very relaxed, no pressure conversation. That's really the best way. They can do that by going onto my website, lauraheals.com. Right there is a little light box that pops up. They can sign up for a free call.

Jackie Morreale (11:10): That's what I did. It was very easy to do, and we had a really nice conversation. You really have a talent for patience and listening, among other things.

Let's talk more about my favorite new book, Sacred Alignment, that you published this year. What was your journey like to publish this book and become a published author?

Laura Hoffman (11:30): When I started writing, I started a blog. If you go on my website, every week, I write a different blog. I write it on Sundays. It all depends on what's happening to me during that week or inspiration that comes up.

I had a mentor at the time who's got an office downstairs who grabs me and reminds me not to be “little Laura”: Don't be little Laura. Be “big Laura”. He was the one that said to me, take all these blogs, take some great stuff and write books.

I started writing small e-books. I have two e-books up on my website that you can download for free. Then I started working on this book. My journey has been very meaningful.

I had written a few eBooks before, but Sacred Alignment was very personal because I wanted to create something that was easy for my clients, easy for really just anyone to be able to understand spirituality, the chakras, the healing and the cleansing that people feel could be a little too “woo woo”, or overwhelming.

I wanted to make it really simple and that's what I did with this book.

Also, I wanted to make sure that I created something that had practical everyday tools because that's what I do with my clients. On my website, I have a whole sacred wellness with tools, meditations and wellness products. I wanted to make sure that in there were very simple tools that people could do on their own at any time to help them with their own transformation.

Jackie Morreale (12:54): I think you achieved that and beyond! It is a beautiful book.

I didn't know about this topic or very little about this topic before I read it. I loved reading, in layman's terms, through the chakras and healing methodology. I loved hearing your client stories and different experiences and what each chakra was representing for those clients. It's such an interesting way of bringing the healing work together with putting out a published work that can expand that knowledge to a greater audience.

Do you want to give a shout out to your neighbor that encourages you to be big, expansive, growing Laura?

Laura Hoffman (13:25): He's Andy Lockwood. I've been in this studio for over two years. I can't believe it. When I first started doing this full time and left my corporate job, I needed a space to do workshops. I went around to different places. Andy said to me, you can use my space. You can use it anytime you want.

Then he just became a mentor, because he runs an incredible business. He helps students and parents navigate the college world and the university world and how to pay in the finance world all around it. He's been running a business for 20 years, him and his wife Pearl. They're really amazing how many people that they've helped and assisted. So in a way, he's a healer and Pearl's a healer as well.

They run this business down here, and have a full learning studio here.

Jackie Morreale (14:11): At that point of life where it's kind of a crisis, right? So much change and so much potential, what school you should go to, how you pay for it, and here they are helping people. Thank you for the shout out.

We talked a little bit about your blog and how that work that you were doing every Sunday to reflect on what happened in the past week. It was growing organically every week, morphed into these e-books and into this published work, which is available on Amazon, on your website, all different places where you can find books.

So who should read this book?

Laura Hoffman (14:46): Anyone can read this book. That's what's so great about it.

I made it simple, for anyone to be able to pick this up and feel, I learned something or I got this little cute technique of grounding or clearing or cord cutting that is really simple and afterwards I feel better.

So, anyone can read this book.

Jackie Morreale (15:11): I think you did a really great job of that, and anyone can read this book. It's beautifully written and concise. Not only the information that you need to hear to heal, it also gives you action steps and things to think about and you can move forward at your own pace. So much insight into the energies, the chakras.

Two things I want to point out. Some of my favorite pages, my favorite quotes.

If I flip to page 10, you wrote: ‘You don't need to be fixed, you're not broken. What you may need is to come back to yourself, to your own energy, to your own rhythm, your own inner truth.’

I just loved reading this. I think in pop culture we hear the word "broken" a lot and I love the fact that this is about finding yourself. So just curious if you can speak a little bit more to this, to somebody who might pick up your book and start reading it and it's a new perspective.

Laura Hoffman (16:01): Yeah, we get caught up in the chaos of this world. Believe me, I know, I live in the chaos too. I lived in the chaos of some sort of 30 years managing sales teams across the country. I understand it. The thing is, when we actually sit and remember who we really are, and who we really are is this beautiful light, that is here to shine, love and happiness and peace and that's how whatever you believe in God's source created us to be. When you realize that that's exactly who you are and come back to that, your energy, your rhythm, your truth, that's where the real transformation begins.

Jackie Morreale (16:40): We talked a little bit about some of the spiritual exercises. If I flip to page 63, I found some daily spiritual hygiene rituals which were new to me. The idea of:
  • grounding in the morning,
  • Aura clearing, which can be done any time,
  • energetic shielding before entering new spaces,
  • cord cutting at the end of the day,
  • joy and stillness.
These are five new concepts to me and very practical things that anyone can do, especially if anyone feels energies in this way. Can you speak a little bit more to them in a way that your readers might find helpful?

Laura Hoffman (17:01):
I have to say grounding saved my life in I learned how to ground and put my feet flat on the floor and just allow myself to be in my space and also shield myself and bring in my auric field, I was able to speak and come from a place without feeling other people's energies and feeling overwhelmed or anxious. You just come right into yourself.

With that daily spiritual hygiene, I like to call it, it could be completely life-changing for you, whether it's going to a Broadway theater and having to be around a million people or sitting in a corporate meeting with all suits or standing in front of 300 people and making a keynote speech.

These are all simple practices that when you start to make them part of your daily life, then boom, they just become who you are.

They help us release and really connect to who we are.

Jackie Morreale (18:08): I have learned so much from you. Thank you for that. I did notice that at the end of each of your chapters, you wrote very succinct, beautiful quotes. For example, from Rumi, on page 37: ‘Your heart knows the way, run in that direction.’

Simple, succinct, thinking about yourself and what brings you peace and harmony. Any insight on how you brought a whole chapter's worth of information together with these great quotes?

Laura Hoffman (18:29): Yes. I love Rumi. Next to my bedside table, I have Rumi books. One of my favorite ones is the Romance Rumi book.

There was one quote that I had on my signature in corporate was, "What you seek is seeking you." It's just so simple. As I'm building my business, every week I sit and via my sessions or intuition or just channeling, I create quotes of my own. That is inspired by some of these other quotes that I found through readings.

Jackie Morreale (19:09): And there are so many great quotes from YOU from your book. If there were a ‘Laura's Intuitive Wellness calendar’ that had a quote of the day, what would today or this week be?

Laura Hoffman (19:16):
I'm going to go back to "What you seek is seeking you", by Rumi. When we're seeking and when we're driving, there's this outside force that wants us to have everything that we're seeking. It's to remember that and to remind ourselves as long as we come from a place of integrity, authenticity and love, the universe is going to provide.

Jackie Morreale (19:38): Any other continued reading resources that you want to share?

Laura Hoffman (19:42): Another one that I always recommend to clients that it was a game changer for me is The Letting Go Book by Sir David Hawkins. He's passed now. He was an amazing psychiatrist, psychologist who created this whole map of consciousness.

It's all about the emotion code and releasing emotions and the energy behind the emotions, and how we're all capable of doing that. That's part of what I do in my practices with my clients, is help them release the energy behind the emotion. I highly recommend that book too.

Jackie Morreale (20:12): Not to make it about me and my session, but I have to tell you, ever since, I have felt like a weight was lifted and just very happy and joyous.

Laura Hoffman (20:12): We have cellular memory and it gets into our cells. Then it creates ‘dis ease’ in our body, which creates disease. Simple. What I do is work with clients to help remove and release that cellular clutter. So you do feel lighter.

You become who you're supposed to be. We let go of all that stuff and that muck that's holding you down. That's what I do with clients. That's why you feel lighter.

Jackie Morreale (20:49): I do. Thank you for doing that.

Let's talk about some advice. What are one or two simple healing techniques that we all can do to feel better or more of ourselves every day?

Laura Hoffman (21:02): One of the simplest techniques is grounding. That's been a life changer for me in so many ways. Even just walking through a Costco grounding or on an airplane or feeling anxious, walking into a room with people you don't know. You just take a few moments to just ground your feet, breathe deeply, imagine roots extending from your body into the earth.

That just brings the energy back into your body where you feel centered and safe.

Another way of grounding is putting your hand on your heart, breathing into that space.

I tell clients, even if you have to at work, go into the bathroom and put your feet on the floor, and sit where you have a moment of peace, or moms that have young babies and they can't get away. Just sit for a moment and just ground.

Feel the energy moving out down through your feet. Imagine the golden light coming from your head. It just completely shift changes all the energy around you.

Jackie Morreale (21:55): That's wonderful. I will try that.

Second question on advice. What advice would you give to anyone looking to get in tune with their own healing abilities?

Laura Hoffman (22:06): It's all about tuning into your own energy, developing a daily practice.

It's all about practice. I'm not doing these healings and working with clients because I didn't practice, practice, practice, practice, practice. It's about doing a daily practice, meditation, journaling, breath work. Breath work is amazing to help clear stagnant energy.

Paying attention to how you feel. We all have healing gifts. We're all psychics. We're all clairvoyants in some way. When you start to do that simple practice and do that work, you can awaken and awaken these gifts. The other thing is to trust and believe.

Never ever, ever take it too seriously. I like to tell people when we do sessions is, we're going to be kindergartners. Let's have some fun. Let's have our curiosity. Let's ask, why are you feeling this way? Where's this coming from? Let's have some fun. That's a big part of it too.

Jackie Morreale (23:05): What advice would you give to someone looking to leave the corporate world and start their own business?

Laura Hoffman (23:11): Well, it takes grit, it takes guts.

Back to that trusting and believing. You really need to trust and believe that you are being guided by this higher source, your divine source, the divine source.

Also, reconnect with your why. What lights you up?

Why would somebody want to pay you for what you're doing?

What can you bring to this world that would change people's lives?

Can you do that? Can you feel that? If you can feel that and feel the excitement in your heart, feel the excitement in your belly, then you know what? Go for it.

For me, I did take a big leap, but I did transition because I had been doing this work for five to seven years. I just got so busy I couldn't do both. I was led. That's what happens. Whatever you believe in, eventually you just get led to this space. With great structure, discipline, leading yourself on your soul-led path, it's a leap but it's also a leap of faith that you trust and believe in.

Jackie Morreale (24:17): It sounds like for you the timing was right too. You had already started this journey and it just was blossoming all on its own.

Laura Hoffman (24:22): Correct. I have a daughter, who's 24 now. Being a single mom for the last 20 years and building a career and taking care of her and myself full time. Once she was able to get out into the working world, I was able to take a breath. Now it's time that I can do some more things for me rather than be in the chaos. I can help people release the chaos from their beings.

Jackie Morreale (24:46): I'm sure that she's very proud and appreciates what you're doing and have done for her very much.

Laura Hoffman (24:51): Yeah, thank you. I appreciate that. Yeah, she does.

Jackie Morreale (24:54): What is your daughter's name?

Laura Hoffman (24:54): She's Meaghan Elizabeth and she is phenomenal. She's my mentor, my coach. She is an electrical engineer and she's just unbelievable. I'm just so proud of her.

Jackie Morreale (25:08): Let's talk about the then and the now. So other than Meaghan Elizabeth and your neighbors in your building who've always been very encouraging for you in your business, any shout outs to people who have made it possible all along the way?

Laura Hoffman (25:12): I've been very lucky to have many mentors throughout my career, whether it's in my corporate life or in my spiritual journey.

I'm just grateful to all those mentors and teachers and especially, it makes me emotional.

I'm grateful to my clients who really trust me along this way in their journey. And trusted me to help them and their support and belief in me has really helped shape who I am and this path and what I'm building here.

Jackie Morreale (25:52): Do you have any new projects on your horizon?

What's next for you, Laura Hoffman?

Laura Hoffman (25:57): The brain's always going because I work strategy. I'm a strategic.

For me, I've been building, I'm calling it the Sacred Intuition Academy. It's a clairvoyant development school where essentially I guide others to doing what I do because I get a lot of clients that come in here that are intuitive. We're all intuitive, but they want to grow their gifts and they want to learn to do what I do, which is very different than some other, what you might call psychic mediums and all of that, because I come from such a different perspective. Anyway, I'm creating this, clairvoyant development school, called Sacred Intuition Academy. I'm in the process of finalizing that and doing all that work. Then, it will be ready to go September 1st. I'm getting all the materials together now as we speak.

I also caught the writing bug. I'm working on a memoir and that's taking me through some really deep soul work of my own. I'm going deep on this one because I think it's really important for me to tell my story.

I wanted to do this for years, but I'm making the time or I'm carving the time. I'm doing a PhD in metaphysical science. It's the University of Sedona, the metaphysical school. I started June 1st. I'm diving deep into that, which I love because I'm learning so much. It's great.

Jackie Morreale (27:09): Good for you! I'm so happy for hear you are teaching others your technique that you've mastered and you've perfected over these 10 years, and you're sharing that with your clients through these healings.
You're writing your memoirs, you're digging deep, and here you are also enhancing your own learning with this PhD in metaphysics.

Laura Hoffman (27:32):
Metaphysical science, yes.

The other thing I've started working on creating a 501c3 and working with women, disadvantaged women, women who are abused. I get a lot of females that come through these doors that subconsciously have pushed down so much trauma and abuse. I'm looking to get started on helping them as well and creating something.

I see it. I see the big picture so it's there. It'll come together like a healing center. I have a lot of ideas coming together.

Jackie Morreale (28:05): I'm excited to hear you say that. To add another facet to your healing, that you want to give back in that way for women.

Wow, you are changing the world, Laura Hoffman!

You really are, in a big way. You are an inspiration to me as an entrepreneur, as a healer, as a mother, as a creative, as a writer, you do it all and I know it's not easy and you make it look easy. I really appreciate you sharing some of that strategy with us! Sign me up for your training seminar and I can't wait to see what you do for your dissertation. It's going to be fun.

Laura Hoffman (28:40):
It's going to be fun!

Jackie Morreale (28:44): And I can't wait to see what you do with the foundation. And your memoir, I'm ready! You have so many different things and, sounds like it is right on your path.

Laura Hoffman (28:54):
Yeah, it'll show itself. That's what happens.

Jackie Morreale (28:57): That's what happens, right? Thank you so much for being with us today, Laura.

Laura Hoffman (29:01):
Thank you to you, Jackie. You're an inspiration for me as well, because you're a beautiful young woman who has now decided to do something to bring people like me out into the open and allowing us to tell our stories. So you should be just as proud of yourself. Thank you so much for what you're doing too, because you took the big leap of faith.

Jackie Morreale (29:23): That's true. Thank you. You're going to make me cry. I appreciate that.

Laura Hoffman (29:24):
You're welcome.
